Protect Our Township! Recent NEWS Link!
ENRO wants to warn our residents that a Billboard company has challenged the township's zoning ordinance in order to erect VERY LARGE Billboards in our community. We hope you agree that our small suburban town is not the right place for billboards. We are VERY upset by this proposal and if you are too, please help spread the word to your neighbors and attend any meetings related to this issue.
Here are some of the facts as we know to date and all of this information is public upon request at the Township Building.
MC Outdoor, LLC Filed a zoning validity challenge to the current billboard ordinance alleging it had the right to erect billboards in East Norriton.
Three locations/property owners have signed Lease Agreements with MC Outdoors, LLC. Where they will build digital 48 ft. x 14 ft signs that could be up to 35 ft high.
205 W. Germantown Pike - (at the start of Penn Square Shopping Ctr.)
229 W. Germantown Pike - (just after Penn Square Shopping Ctr.)
2938 DeKalb Pike - (across from the McDonalds)
The owner of the billboard company is Thaddeus Bartkowski and his company has been attempting, and winning in some cases, to build these large billboards in many small communities like ours.
We need to let him know that East Norriton does not want Billboards!! They will reduce our property values, increase traffic safety dominate the neighborhoods and we won't have any control over what is displayed.

EN Board of Supervisors to write a curative amendment to our ordinance.
Please plan on attending the May 24th Township meeting. The township established a curative amendment and is working on an ordinance to amend our code with regards to billboards. The township legally cannot flat out prohibit billboards and is now contemplating the possible locations for these billboards. Therefore they need input from the residents.
